After Being Shot by Robbers, Brave Minibus Driver Kept Driving for 30 Km in Maharashtra

Mumbai: Even after being shot at by a group of highway robbers, a brave Maharashtra minibus driver was on Monday night kept driving for 30 kilometres to save the passengers.

The driver, along with 17 members of a family, was returning from Amravati to Nagpur when the robbery attempt took place on National Highway 6.  The incident took place near Nandgaon Peth.

According to the police, four unidentified persons were involved in this robbery attempt. Police teams are searching for them.

According to the driver of the minibus, Khomdev Kawade, the armed robbers, who were in a Bolero SUV with UP registration number tried to stop them by firing at the minibus. His hand was injured, yet he did not stop and drove the vehicle it to a police station about 30 kilometers away.

Three other passengers injured by the bullets of the robbers were admitted to a hospital in Tivsa.
