Andhra Doctor in “Financial Crisis” Discovered Dead With 4 Family Members

Vijayawada: Five members of a family including a doctor suffering financial crisis were found dead in their home in Vijayawada of Andhra Pradesh.

Four of the deceased bore slash injuries caused by some sharp weapon and one hung to death. Their bodies were found on Tuesday morning. It is suspected that they died on Monday night.

Dr D Srinivas (40) was found hanging. His wife D Usha Rani (38), two minor children–boy and a girl– and his mother D Ramanamma (70) were found with their jugular veins slashed. Police suspect that Srinivas, an orthopedician, first murdered the four and committed suicide.

Dr Srinivas was facing a financial crisis and he ha drecetly sold off a hospital owned by him. Police are investigating Srinivas’ financial issues.

On Monday night, the doctor handed over his car keys to a neighbour stating that all of five of them were going out. Police have registered a murder case under IPC Section 302 and also a suicide case under CrPC Section 174.
