Decomposed Bodies of Young Couple Found Under Bridge in Khurda District

Bhubaneswar: The bodies of a young couple were found in decomposed condition under a bridge at Atharanga village under Begunia police station limits in Khurda district on Tuesday. Both were missing from their homes for more than a week.

The deceased boy was identified to be from Botalama village under the Atharanga panchayat while the dead girl was from Lathipada village under the Hirapur panchayat.

On Tuesday evening, some villagers discovered the bodies under the bridge and alerted the police. The bodies were seized by the police and were sent for post-mortem. An investigation is on to ascertain the reason behind their death and to find out whether it is a case of murder or suicide.

The families of both the deceased alleged that miscreants killed them and dumped their bodies under the bridge.

A few days back, the parents of the girl had registered a missing complaint at the Begunia police station.
