CHSE Record Supplier Arrested for Amassing Disproportionate Assets

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance arrested Purendra Kumar Sethy, record supplier of Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Wednesday on charges of amassing disproportionate assets (DA) worth lakhs of rupees.

According to a release of the Odisha Vigilance, Sethy was placed under arrest based on searches conducted on properties linked to him. During the searches, the accused was found in possession of disproportionate assets including one multistoried building measuring 10,880 sqft in Bhubaneswar, deposits to the tune of Rs 16.77 lakh, cash worth Rs 1.70 lakh, two four-wheelers, etc. Added to it, 16 benami RORs (land pattas of different sizes of plots) were recovered from his possession and they are under verification.

A case against him has been registered at the Vigilance Cell police station in this connection and an investigation is still underway.
