Elderly Man Killed, 6 Injured in Violent Clash Over Feud Between 2 Families In Ganjam

Berhampur: A 65-year-old man died, and six others were injured when a violent clash erupted between two families at New Bankatara village under the Tarsing police station limits in Ganjam district on Thursday.

Long-standing dispute between two families over irrigation rights in their paddy fields led to the clash. The deceased was identified as Kabiraj Gouda.

Out of the six injured, two were shifted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital as their condition was serious. The rest four are undergoing treatment at the sub-divisional hospital in Bhanjanagar.
