For Dispute Over Rs 30 Auto Rickshaw Fare, Mumbai Man Kills Friend, Arrested

Mumbai: A 29-year-old man identified as Saif Zahid Ali was arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch on Tuesday from Mumbai’s Kalyan railway station for murdering his friend over the auto-rickshaw fare of a mere 30 rupees.

According to reports, the accused and the victim Chakkan Ali were friends. They were from the Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh and were working in a garment factory in Mumbai.

Saif killed Chakkan in Mumbai’s Kurla area when a dispute between them for a mere Rs 30 over paying the auto-rickshaw fare escalated.

Mumbai Crime Branch nabbed Sahid Ali from Kalyan Railway Station and handed him over to Kurla Police.
