Keonjhar: A government doctor posted as superintendent of Sainkul CHC in Keonjhar district was nabbed by officials of the Odisha Vigilance on Friday while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 20,800.
According to a vigilance release, the erring doctor, Dr Ranjeeb Kumar Rout had demanded a bribe from a person to appoint his sister as a yoga instructor at CHC as well as for the withdrawal of his pending salary bill.
The complainant informed about it on toll-free No 1064 number of Odisha Vigilance. The vigilance officials planned and trapped the doctor while he was accepting the bribe money from the complainant.
The entire marked up bribe money was recovered from Dr Rout and seized.
