Inhuman Dowry Killing, Pregnant Woman’s Limbs Chopped, Body Burnt in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: A 23-year-old pregnant woman was allegedly killed for dowry by her in laws, who chopped her hands and legs before trying to burn down the mutilated body in Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgarh district on Monday.

The family of the deceased identified as Reena Tanwar allged that she was being tortured for dowry by her husband Mithun and in-laws.

This gruesome incident occurred at Tandi Khurd village of Rajgarh district. Getting information from a villager that Reena had been murdered, her father reached Tandi Khurd with the police.

But by then her in laws had absconded. Polic seized the half burnt mutilated body of the victim from the burning pyre.

Reena and Mithun got married five years back. She already has a daughter and was four months pregnant. It was alleged that she was facing dowry torture. Police are trying to track down Mithun and his family who are on the run.
