Junior Doctor Rapes 11-Yr-Old Patient in UP’s Agra; Arrested

Agra: A junior doctor of Agra’s Sarojini Naidu Medical College and Hospital was arrested for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl admitted to the paediatric ward.

The junior doctor has been suspended after the incident. The medical college authorities have formed a committee to investigate the case.

The victim suffering from high fever was admitted to the emergency ward of the SN Medical College on September 6. On September 7, she was shifted to the Pediatric Department.

On Tuesday night, the accused junior doctor called the girl to his chamber and allegedly raped her. The escaped from the clutches of the doctor and informed her mother about the incident.

The erring doctor, identified as Dilshad Hussain was arrested. He has been booked under sections 64 (2), 65 (2) of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), 2023 and the POCSO Act.
