Key Associate of Canada-Based Khalistani Terrorist Arrested by NIA

New Delhi: A key associate of Canada-based Khalistani terrorist Lakhbir Singh Sandhu alias Landa was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

According to an official statement of the NIA, Baljeet Singh alias Rana Bhai alias Balli, hailing from Barwani district of Madhya Pradesh, was arrested on Thursday. He was a major weapons supplier to Landa’s agents in Punjab

The arrested man was a key accused in a terror network case involving the supply of deadly weapons for extortion from businessmen among others.

According to NIA, during investigations in the case, one Gurpreet Singh Gopi, identified as an associate of Landa and of another Khalistani terrorist Satnam Singh Satta have been arrested.

Both Landa and Satta are operating from Canada to promote terror in India, the NIA statement said.

The NIA is continuing with its investigation as part of its crackdown on the Khalistani terrorist outfits, the statement said.
