Man Arrested for Raping 9-Yr-Old in Madhya Pradesh; Victim in ICU

Bhopal: A 28-year-old man was arrested by police on Tuesday morning for allegedly raping a nine-year-old girl at a village in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district.

The girl was found unconscious at an agricultural field outside the village under Nagra police station limits on Monday evening.

The victim was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the district hospital. According to Morena police, her condition is stable.

The accused has been booked under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. it said.

Following the FIR, police constituted five teams and arrested the 28-year-old accused at 5 am on Tuesday.
