Murder Convict Thrashed to Death by 3 Brothers in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: A murder convict, Bhagwan Singh (40), who was released from jail eight months ago, was thrashed to death by three brothers on Friday at a crowded market in Bhander of Datia district of Madhya Pradesh.

Bhagwant was a convict in a double-murder case. He has several other cases pending against him. He was released from jail on August 15 2023 after completing his sentence in the double-murder case.

On Friday morning, Bhagwant entered into an altercation with an atta chakki owner Ashish Rajak. Bhagwant slapped Ashish Rajak during the dispute. In retaliation, Ashish beat Bhagwant with a wooden stick. Ashis’s two brothers, Arvind and Ashok also joined him and thrashed Bhagwant.

They also smashed his head with a heavy stone. Bhagwant died on the spot and the accused escaped from the scene.

Onlookers informed the police and a police team reached the spot.

According to police sources, the main accused Ashish Rajak has been arrested. A search is on to nab his two absconding brothers.
