Police IIC Injured in Arrow Attack in Sundargarh Dist

Rourkela: The inspector-in-charge of Mahulapada police station in Sundargarh district was injured in an arrow attack on Tuesday.

An arrow pierced the hand of the cop identified as Suresh Chandra Pradhan.

Pradhan faced the arrow attack when he and a police team reached Badajala High School in the area after receiving information that a youth had created a chaotic scene after climbing on the boundary wall of the school.

While trying to pacify the youth and making attempts to get him down from the boundary wall, the youth shot an arrow at the IIC, said local sources.

After making the arrow attack, the youth manage to escape from the spot. The injured IIC was rushed to the nearby hospital. He sustained critical injury on his hand in this arrow attack. Efforts are on to nab the attacker.
