Principal Kills 6-Yr-Old Girl for Opposing Rape in Gujarat, Dumps Body on School Campus

Ahmedabad: A six-year-old girl studying in Class 1 was allegedly choked to death by her school’s principal after she resisted his attempts to sexually assault her in Gujarat’s Dahod district, reported NDTV.

The accused principal then dumped her body in the school’s compound. He threw her bag and shoes near the classroom. The 55-year-old accused identified as Govind Natt has been arrested by the police.

The body of the six-year-old victim was found on the premises of her school on Thursday evening. The post-mortem revealed that she suffocated to death.

Police investigation revealed that the principal of the school was behind the murder of the child. During interrogation, he confessed to the heinous crime.

The principal picked up the girl from her home at around 10.20 am. On the way to school, the principal tried to sexually assault her. When she resisted and started shouting, the principal choked the girl to stop her from shouting.

On reaching the school, the principal left the girl’s body in his car and locked the vehicle. In the evening, he dumped the body behind the school building and threw her school bag and shoes outside her classroom.

The arrested principal has been booked under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Gujarat Education Minister Kuber Dindor said it was a shameful incident for the society and promised steps so that such crimes are not repeated.
