Student Dies After Being Beaten by Teacher in Balasore District

Balasore: A school student died after being beaten by his teacher at Bansidhar Vidyapeeth in Kuligaon village under Khantapada police station limits of Balasore.

According to reports, the student as beaten on the school premises on Saturday. Following this, the student developed severe chest pain and died on Sunday. Locals demonstrated in front of the school along with the dead body demanding strict action against the concerned teacher.

The deceased student was identified as Sumanta Das, the son of Gobinda Chandra Das from Saharda village.

According to family members of the victim, the student complained of severe chest pain after returning from school on Saturday. So, he was admitted to a nearby hospital, where he died during treatment.
