Teacher Sexually Assaults 11-Year-Old Girl of Class 7 At Mumbai School

Mumbai: An 11-year-old girl studying in Class 7 was allegedly sexually assaulted by a school teacher in Mumbai’s Kandivali, reported NDTV.

The victim informed the school authorities about it on Wednesday. In her complaint, she alleged that the concerned teacher had called her after her class and touched her inappropriately. Receiving information about it, the school principal informed the parents of the victim, who approached the police and filed the complaint. The incident happened in July.

Based on the statement of the girl, a police case under the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act has been lodged against the teacher.

The teacher has been summoned for interrogation and the police are also probing the CCTV footage of the school.
