Teen Girl Gang Raped in Moving Bus, 5 Arrested in Dehradun

Dehradun: Five persons were arrested by police in Uttarakhand’s Dehradun in connection with the alleged gang-rape of a teenage girl in a moving bus of the Uttarakhand Government.

The arrested persons included the driver and the conductor of the bus. The incident occurred on August 12. The victim complained regarding it to the police on Sunday evening.

The police identified the Uttarakhand Roadways bus by scanning CCTV cameras and arrested the five accused.

The arrested persons include two persons in their fifties and three others in their thirties. Arrested Dharmendra Kumar (32) and Devendra (52) were the driver and the conductor of the concerned bus. Rajpal (57) of Buggawala in Uttarakhand’s Haridwar, Devendra (52) and Ravi Kumar (34) were drivers of other buses and Kumar Sonkar (38) was a cashier of Uttarakhand Roadways posted at the bus stand.

The said bus had been seized for forensic investigation.
