Ten Bombs Hurled During Group Clash at Belanta Village in Cuttack Dist

Cuttack: At least ten bombs were hurled at various locations in Belanta village under Tigiria police station limits in Cuttack district on Monday night.

Past dispute between two groups of the village is said to be the reason behind these bombings. A violent clash occurred between the two rival groups at the village on Monday night. Both groups hurled bombs. But luckily no one was injured.

Upon being informed, a police team led by the Athagarh Sub-Divisional Police Officer rushed to the village to take control of the situation.

A group clash had occurred at the village during Holi celebrations in which five persons including the husband of the village Sarpanch and her brother-in-law were injured.

After silence of a few months, both groups clashed again on Monday night.

Police forces have been deployed in the village to avoid escalation of tension at the village.
