Major UP Govt Exam Paper Leak Affecting Lakhs of Students Exposed

Prayagraj: In a shocking revelation, the Uttar Pradesh Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO) exam paper leak has been traced back to a sophisticated operation involving engineers and a printing press in Bhopal. This comes amid ongoing controversies surrounding exam leaks in India, including the recent NEET and NET exams.

The RO/ARO exam, held on February 11, was cancelled after leak allegations surfaced, affecting over 1o lakh students. A Special Task Force investigation uncovered two separate leak sources: Bishop Johnson Girl’s High School and College in Prayagraj and a printing press in Bhopal.

At the heart of this scandal were four engineers who spearheaded the operation: Rajiv Nayan Mishra (the kingpin), Sunil Raghuvanshi (a printing press employee), Vishal Dubey, and Subhash Prakash. Raghuvanshi exploited his position at the printing press to access the exam papers, which were then sold to candidates for ₹12 lakh each at Hotel Komal.

The conspiracy deepened when Subhash Prakash, who was also a candidate, was found with matching question papers on his phone. Additional arrests included Arpit Vineet Yashwant for leaking papers from the Prayagraj school, and Vivek Upadhyay and Amarjeet Sharma, who acted as agents to recruit candidates.

The scandal’s implications extend beyond the RO/ARO exam, affecting the UP Police Constable exam as well. This larger leak impacted over 47 lakh aspirants competing for 60,000 vacancies, leading to the cancellation of that exam too.

To date, six arrests have been made, with authorities continuing their probe into this far-reaching conspiracy.
