UP Man Gets Life Sentence for Raping Own Mother

Lucknow: A court in Bulandshahr of Uttar Pradesh on Monday sentenced a 48-year-old man to life imprisonment for raping his own mother.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs 51,000 on the convict. According to the public prosecutor in the case, this shocking incident occurred on January 16, 2023 at a village under Dehat police station limits.

Aabid took his mother to the fields to get fodder, where he raped her. Aabid absconded from the spot after committing the crime. He was caught by his brothers Yusuf and Javed.

On January 21, 2023, a case was registered against Aabid under sections 376 (punishment for rape) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
