Woman Kidnapped, Drugged, Raped by Man She Met on Instagram

Bengaluru: A woman in Karnataka’s Udupi district was allegedly kidnapped, was made to drink beer laced with drugs and raped by a man she met on Instagram.

According to police sources, the accused kidnapped the woman in a white car on Friday and took her to a forested deserted area. As per the victim, the accused made her drink beer laced with drugs with the beer and it made her unconscious. He then raped her inside the car.

When the accused went to drop the woman home, some persons found the woman in an intoxicated state and alerted authorities.

The woman was admitted to a hospital and the accused was arrested along with another accomplice. They were charged with kidnapping, rape, and other offenses.
