Bhubaneswar: Good news for thousands of job seekers of the state. The age limit for government jobs has been increased to 38 years from the year 2021-2023. Post-Covid, the state government has waived application and examination fees for various posts. For the three years 2021, 2022 and 2023, the limit for entering employment has been increased from 32 to 38.
As per this rule, the age limit has been fixed for categories including reserved classes. A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Administrative Secretary at the Lok Seva Bhawan. The recruitment process will be expedited to fill the vacant posts in various cadres under the state government. Odisha Public Service Commission, SSC, Subordinate Staff Selection Commission, Police Recruitment Board have been informed for this.
The concerned department has been asked to recommend the selection list for the posts for which the examination and rating has been completed as soon as possible. Candidates for 2021-22 and 2022-23 have been selected for 2848 posts through OPSC, 2555 posts through SSC and 10,355 posts through Subordinate Selection Commission. Candidates are being recruited by departments on a phased basis.
