Education Minister’s big announcement; +2 classes in high school

Bhubaneswar: 11th class will start in the school from next academic year. 11 out of 40 schools will open from the 2023-24 academic years. Public Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Das has informed. With this, he made a big announcement.

According to the minister, the process of recruiting teachers is going on. A special teacher will be appointed for the 11th. Also, Sameer expressed grief over the suicide case of district council member Dharmendra Sahu. I am saddened by the demise of the district councilor of my district, he said.

However, 100 high schools in the state will be upgraded from the next academic year. The school and public education department is going to take such special measures to prevent dropouts. The high school will be upgraded in those blocks where there is no 2nd college. School and Public Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Das informed about this. He said that because there is no +2 college, children are dropping out after matriculation. The Minister expressed the hope that especially the girls will benefit more after such a step. Colleges are located far away in tribal areas and remote areas. So it is difficult for children to read after the 10th pass so far. Because of this children are dropping out of school. Half of the students leave their studies and engage themselves in housework. To put a stop to this, the state government is planning to upgrade the high school. This will reduce the dropout, said the Minister of Public Education.
