Mumbai: The Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan starrer upcoming film Vettaiyan will hit the theatres on October 10.
Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth are coming together after 33 years for Vettaiyan. They last collaborated in 1991 in the film Hum after their successful shared screen space in Andhaa Kaanoon and Geraftaar.
Vettaiyan’s production house, Lyca Productions, shared the news on X along with a poster featuring Rajinikanth in an IPS uniform.
The caption of the post read, “Target-locked VETTAIYAN is set to hunt in cinemas worldwide from October 10th, 2024! Superstar as Supercop!” Vettaiyan written and directed by TJ Gnanavel will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada.
Vettaiyan will clash at the box office with Suriya’s Kanguva. The Siva directorial also features Disha Patani and Bobby Deol in key roles.
Studio Green’s ‘Kanguva’ is a colossal project with a budget surpassing 350 crores. It is shot across seven countries and various Indian locales.
The movie delves into the prehistoric era, promising a visual feast made possible by collaboration of Hollywood experts in action and cinematography.
