Rakhi Sawant’s Bail Plea Rejected by Supreme Court, Asked to Surrender in Leaked Video Case

New Delhi: Rakhi Sawant’s ex-husband Adil Khan Durrani has revealed that the Supreme Court denied her bail request, ordering her to appear in person before a Mumbai court within four weeks, reported The Tribune.

The highest court purportedly made it clear that her bail request would not be considered until she surrendered.

Presently, Rakhi is residing in Dubai, evading the legal proceedings in India.

Rakhi tried to get a pre-arrest release from the apex court, which was denied.

Rakhi and Durrani parted ways amidst several allegations from Rakhi, including accusations of extramarital affairs and domestic abuse against Durrani. On February 7, 2023, Durrani was placed under arrest. He remained in jail for five months. Now Durrani has married former Bigg Boss contestant Somi Khan.

Earlier, Rakhi Sawant was denied anticipatory bail by a Mumbai court in a case filed by her estranged husband for allegedly leaking their private videos.

Sawant’s estranged husband Adil Durrani has registered the case against her under relevant sections of the Information Technology Act at the suburban Amboli police station.

Durrani alleges that Sawant is uploading their private videos on online platforms to defame him.

In the anticipatory bail plea, filed through her advocate, Sawant claimed that the FIR was registered against her bore the sole intention of harassing, pressuring and implicating her in a false case.

But the court found that the material allegedly “transmitted or published” by the actor “is not only obscene but sexually explicit”.
