Classic Book ‘Freedom at Midnight’ to Come Alive in a Series by Nikhil Advani

Mumbai: Filmmaker-producer Nikkhil Advani has collaborated with SonyLIV for ‘Freedom at Midnight’ a dramatized series based on the famous book of the same name by Larry Collins and Dominique Lapierre.

The book provides details of the last year of the British Raj in India, from 1947 to 1948. The book starts with Lord Mountbatten taking charge as the last viceroy of British India and it ends with the death and funeral of Mahatma Gandhi.

This historical drama series has star cast of Scam 1992 actor Chirag Vohra (as Mahatma Gandhi), Rajendra Chawla (as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel) and Sidhant Gupta (who plays Jawaharlal Nehru).
