Eminent Actor Vikram Gokhale Passes Away Aged 77

Pune: Noted movie and theatre actor Vikram Gokhale has passed away. The veteran died while battling health complications, according to a statement by the authorities of Pune’s Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, where the veteran actor was taken earlier this month.

Gokhale passed away at the age of 77, leaving behind his wife and two daughters.

According to a family friend of the actor, Gokhale’s mortal remains will be kept at the Balgandharva Auditorium in the city, and the actor’s final rites will be carried out at the Vaikunth crematorium in the evening.

Actor Gokhale had appeared in a number of Marathi and Bollywood films, including “Agneepath” (1990), “Bhool Bhulaiya” (2007), “Natsamrat” (2015), and “Mission Mangal.” Gokhale is equally at home in theatre, television, and movies. His most recent feature was the Marathi movie “Godavari.”

Social media was flooded with condolences after Gokhale’s passing was officially announced.
