Kiran Rao Hints at Making of Laapataa Ladies 2

Mumbai: After the success of Laapataa Ladies, director Kiran Rao in a cryptic statement has hinted at possible making of its sequel.

The film starring Sparsh Shrivastava, Pratibha Ranta, and Nitanshi Goel was appreciated by the audience and critics as well.

During a live session held by Netflix, the director Kiran Rao hinted at a possible sequel of the movie.

When Sparsh and Pratibha were answering fans’ questions, one user asked, “Do you think in an alternate universe Jaya and Deepak ended up together?” Pratibha responded, “I think so, because Jaya and Deepak could be great best friends.”

Sparsh added, “I think this question belongs to Kiran Rao.” He then urged the director, “Ma’am, just write something where they end up together.”

To this, Kiran Rao replied, “Ok on it.”

This small message of Kiran Rao has sparked speculations that she may make Laapataa ladies 2.

Laapataa Ladies was produced by Aamir Khan and directed by Kiran Rao. The movie was released on March 1, after leaving its mark at several film festivals.
