Koffee with Karan to Return in 2025 With Revamped Format

Karan Johar’s popular celebrity chat show Koffee with Karan’s Season 9 will make its appearance in 2025, confirmed the filmmaker in a recent interview with film critic Sucharita Tyagi on her YouTube channel.

During the interview, Karan disclosed that the team decided to take a break and return in 2025. He added that the feedback suggested the rapid-fire segment was becoming dull.

“Somewhere around the middle of 2025 we want to come back with a new syntax,” Johar said, adding, “I’m happy that the previous season was received well but what I’m not happy about is the fact that people are getting very clamped up (on the couch). I think everyone is fearing a PR nightmare.”

“I would rather make it more chatty and conversational than extract some scandalous answers. Nobody is giving me those answers, anyway,” he added. He candidly admitted that the rapid fire round of the eighth season was the most boring one in the history of the show.

Koffee with Karan Season 8 streamed on Disney+ Hotstar in 2023. Its guests included actors Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Sharmila Tagore, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Rani Mukerji, Kajol, Sara Ali Khan, Ananya Panday, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Zeenat Aman.
