Manjulika Returns to Haunt Rooh Baba; Watch ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ teaser

Mumbai: The teaser of the much-anticipated film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ was dropped on Friday.

This new chapter of this horror-thriller franchise has the return of the character Manjulika, played by Vidya Balan. It marks her dramatic comeback to the franchise since the original film debuted in 2007.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, who successfully helmed the previous installment of the franchise, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ continues the story of Rooh Baba, played by Kartik Aaryan.

In the ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ teaser, we see Rooh Baba’s face off against the vengeful Manjulika.

The teaser opens with the chilling melodies of ‘Ami Je Tomar,’ instantly transporting viewers back into the eerie atmosphere of the franchise. Then,  Manjulika in a display of her supernatural strength, lifts a heavy chair in a fit of rage. The teaser features Kartik Aaryan’s character putting the question, ‘Kya Laga tha kahani Khatam hogayi?’ (Did you think the story was over?).

‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ is scheduled to hit theaters during the Diwali 2024. It promises a blend of psychological horror and comedy.

The first instalment of the horror-comedy franchise, released in 2007, focused on Avni Chaturvedi (Vidya Balan), a woman grappling with dissociative identity disorder. The movie also starred Akshay Kumar, Shiney Ahuja, Ameesha Patel and Paresh Rawal.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 revolved around an entrapped spirit seeking revenge. The film emerged as one of the highest-grossing hits of 2022 with a collection of Rs 266.88 crore.
