MS Dhoni Turns Producer; To Venture Into South Movies

Mahendra Singh Dhoni evidently has an unfathomable amount of affection for Chennai, Tamil, and CSK. The former Indian captain is currently advancing the connection further. Dhoni has established MS Dhoni Entertainment, a brand-new entertainment business to venture into producing South Indian movies.

The firm intends to branch out into films in other Southern Indian languages besides Tamil. The business will also make movies in Telugu and Malayalam in addition to Tamil.

The World Cup-winning skipper owns a production company called “Dhoni Entertainment.” Dhoni and his wife Sakshi are listed as the firm’s owners. Small-budget films like Roar of the Lion, Blaze to Glory, and The Hidden Hindu have been produced by the production company.

These are the only three movies released under the umbrella of Dhoni Entertainment yet. Roar of the Lion is a movie about Chennai Super Kings’ return to IPL after suffering a two-year ban. The Blaze to Glory is a documentary on the historic World Cup win of the Men in Blue in 2011 and the third movie, The Hidden Hindu is a movie based on a mythological thriller by the author Akshat Gupta.

MSD is now aiming to expand this production house and plans on producing movies in three more languages that will be Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.

Dhoni is no longer involved in any kind of international cricket, although he still manages and plays for Chennai Super Kings, one of the most successful IPL teams.

In addition, he is the first captain in the annals of cricket to have captured the 50-over World Cup, the T20 World Cup, and the ICC Champion’s Trophy.
