Power-Packed ‘Indian 2’ Trailer Shows Kamal Haasan’s Senapathy Back to Fight Corruption

Mumbai: Kamal Haasan will appear again as freedom fighter-turned-anti-corruption crusader Senapathy in ‘Indian 2’ almost 28 years after his 1996 movie ‘Indian’. This film also features Siddharth and Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal, SJ Surya, Gulshan Grover and Piyush Mishra.

“SENAPATHY is back in style! The much-awaited #Indian2 Trailer is OUT NOW, packed with breathtaking action and visuals that will keep you hooked. ,” the official handle of Lyca Productions, the producers of the film, wrote on social media while sharing the video.

The two-minute-37-second-long trailer begins with a monologue by Siddharth’s character expressing frustration about the corrupt system in India. The viewers also get a glimpse of Kamal Haasan as Senapathy, who returns to save society. Senapathy adopts various disguises throughout the trailer like the original film. The trailer ends with Senapathy declaring a “ second war of independence”.

Directed by Shankar, Indian 2 is set to release worldwide on July 12 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
