Rajkummar Rao’s Srikanth, Biopic on Visually Impaired Industrialist, To Release on May 10

Mumbai: Rajkummar Rao starrer Srikanth, a biopic on visually impaired industrialist Srikanth Bolla, will hit the theatres on May 10 on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, announced production house T-Series Films on Saturday.

Sharing a concept poster of the Tushar Hiranandani directorial, the makers wrote, “A remarkable journey that will open your eyes! ✨ #Srikanth, earlier titled SRI, releasing on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, 10th May 2024.”

The poster features the title of the film written in Braille script. This movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishna Kumar and Nidhi Pamar Hiranandani. Its star cast includes Jyotika, Sharad Kelkar and Alaya F in key roles.

Born in Andhra Pradesh’s Machilipatnam in 1991, Srikanth Bolla was born visually impaired. Despite being a brilliant student, Srikanth turned down several corporate opportunities in the US to work on some innovative idea in India.

In 2012, Srikanth founded Bollant Industries, a company that produces areca-based products and creates job opportunities for hundreds of individuals with disabilities. Bollant manufactures eco-friendly recycled Kraft paper from municipal waste and packaging items from recycled paper.

Actor Rajkummar Rao will be seen bringing the real life story of industrialist Srikanth Bolla.
