Sunny Deol’s Mumbai Villa to be Auctioned Over Non-Payment of ₹56 Cr Debt

Mumbai: Bollywood actor-politician Sunny Deol is facing the auction of his Juhu villa in Mumbai due to outstanding dues of approximately Rs 56 crore.

The villa, situated on Gandhigram Road in Juhu, houses Sunny Super Sound, a prominent post-production studio frequently visited by Bollywood celebrities. The Bank of Baroda, as per a notice has scheduled an e-auction of the property on September 25. The non-payment of Rs 55,99,80,766, with Sunny Deol as both borrower and guarantor, prompted this action.

The villa’s auction terms stipulate that upon a successful bid, the buyer will attain symbolic ownership, while Sunny Deol retains operational rights until physical possession is granted by the District Magistrate.

Meanwhile, Sunny Deol recently celebrated the success of Gadar 2, the sequel to his 2001 blockbuster Gadar. Directed by Anil Sharma, the film, centred around the 1971 India-Pakistan war and featuring Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Luv Sinha, Simrat Kaur, Gaurav Chopra, and Manish Wadhwa, joined the Rs 300 crore club within just eight days of release.
