Veteran Actor Sulochana Latkar Passes Away At 94

New Delhi: Noted actor Sulochana Latkar passed away on Sunday due to prolonged illness at a hospital here, her grandson-in-law Parag Ajgavkar confirmed. She was 94.

Latkar, a well-known actor in Marathi and Hindi cinema, started her career in the 1940s and went on to feature in over 250 films.

The actor was admitted to Shushrusha Hospital in Dadar on May 8.

Talking to Indianexpress.com, Her daughter Kanchan Ghanekar confirmed her death and said, “She had age-related health issues and breathing difficulties. She died this evening at 6pm.”

Other credits of the actor include Kora Kagaz, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar–in which she played Vinod Khanna’s mother–, Himmatwala and Andar Baahar, in which she played Jackie Shroff’s mother.
