This series is based on a harrowing historical event. This six-episode series is a dramatic adaptation of the real-life hijacking incident involving Indian Airlines Flight IC-814. In it Vijay Varma plays the role of a pilot.

The Indian Airlines Flight IC-814 was hijacked by five terrorists on December 24, 1999, just 40 minutes after it took off from Kathmandu. There were around 180 passengers aboard. They were kept hostage for seven days. The plane was taken to Lahore for refuelling, and eventually to Dubai before reaching Taliban-controlled Kandahar. On December 31, 2000 all hostages were safely released.

This series is adapted from the book ‘Flight Into Fear’ by Captain Devi Sharan and Srinjoy Chowdhury. It is directed by Anubhav Sinha. The other actors in it are Arvind Swami, Dia Mirza, Pooja Gor, Patralekhaa, Amrita Puri, Kumud Mishra, Manoj Pahwa, Anupam Tripathi, Kanwaljeet Singh, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Sushant Singh, Aditya Srivastava, Rajeev Thakur, and Yashpal Sharma.
