11 of 3 Families Hospitalised After Consuming Wild Mushroom Curry in Ganjam Dist

Berhampur: At least 11 persons from three families suffered severe food poisoning after consuming wild mushroom curry at Partiguda village under Raikia block in Ganjam district.

All of them were admitted to the sub-divisional hospital in Bhanjanagar. They included five women and six children.

According to reports, these three families had collected some wild mushrooms from the nearby forest, which they cooked and ate.

After eating the mushroom curry, the families developed symptoms of food poisoning. Villagers rushed them to the Bhanjanagar Hospital.
