These things are prepared in such a way that just after seeing them the mouth waters and there is a desire to eat them. According to health experts the amount of salt, sugar carbs and fat in junk food is high, as well as some such things contains preservatives which is harmful for health. Due to which your mind expresses the desire to eat them again and again. The more you fulfill this desire, the more your craving for junk food increases and you never know when you get used to eating it. Let us know about the disadvantages of junk food.

Cause of obesity- Those who eat junk food are most at risk of obesity. The sugar, carbs and fat present in it increases body weight rapidly. According to experts, children who eat junk food at least three days a week are at increased risk of developing asthma. Apart from this, after getting used to junk food, one does not feel like eating fruits, green vegetables etc, due to which there is lack of nutrients in the body, due to which one feels tired and weak all the time.

Effect on brain- Just as consuming intoxicants affects your brain; eating junk food has the same effect on the brain. Apart from this stress, anger and irritability also increases significantly in those who eat more junk food.

Harmful to the heart- Eating more junk food increases your LDL (bad cholesterol) and lowers HDL (good cholesterol). Due to this there is a problem of high BP. Along with this, the risk of all diseases related to heart increases.

Cancer Risk- Some research suggests that eating junk food in large quantities has a bad effect on your digestive system. This increases the risk of colon cancer in the stomach. At the same time, some studies have also revealed the possibility of prostate cancer due to excessive consumption of junk food.

Type 2 Diabetes- Eating more junk food increases the body’s obesity, due to which the risk of type 2 diabetes increases. At the same time, people who have had diabetes in their family history, they need to be alert in this matter.
