Pet Dog’s Bites Kill a Man and His Son in Andhra Pradesh

Visakhapatnam: A man and his son died due to their pet dog’s bite in Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam.

The deceased were Narasinga Rao (59) and his 27-year-old son Bhargav. These inhabitants of the Bhimli area in Visakhapatnam were bitten by their pet dog a week back. But they did not opt for immediate medical attention.

But the dog died two days after the incident. This prompted the father-son duo to rush and take anti-rabies injections. But by then it was too late. They were already been infected by rabies and the fatal rabies virus had already infected their brain and liver. So, despite undergoing treatment, both of them succumbed to the deadly rabies.
