3 Students from Punjab Including 2 Brothers Killed in Accident in Canada

Three students from Punjab died in a road accident at the city of Mountain in Canada on Saturday, reported The Tribune.

According to reports, the deceased included two brothers from Malaud village in Punjab’s Ludhiana —Harman Somal (23) and Navjot Somal (19). The third victim was a girl named Rashmdeep Kaur (23), daughter of a government teacher couple from Samana in Punjab’s Sangrur district.

The students were returning by a taxi when one of the car tyres busted and the vehicle overturned. The taxi driver survived, while all three students died.

According to a government data, 633 incidents of death of Indian students abroad were reported in the last five years due to various reasons, including natural causes, with Canada topping the list with 172 cases, reported The Tribune.
