Separated Brother & Sister Reunite After 45 Years

After a long gap of 45 years, a brother and sister, separated by distance and life commitments, could reunite. They were Tony Beckett, 69, and Mary Dunstan, 72. Both of them last met each other in 1979, when Mary immigrated to Australia, reported The New York Post.

Both were recently widowed. Tony’s wife died in 2023, and Mary lost her husband in 2021. After losing her husband, Mary longed for her long lost brother. She saved money for the long flight back to England.

Their father was a herdsman on the farm. Mary got trained as a nurse and Tony became a porter at St Andrews Hospital in Thorpe. Mary immigrated to settle in Adelaide, Australia.

Financial constraints had previously prevented their reunion. Tony did not have money to travel to Australia and Mary was busy looking after her husband suffering dementia.

After their reunion, the siblings plan to spend the next week reminiscing and catching up on lost time.
