Chennai: Four youths died on the spot when the car on which they were travelling crashed into a parked truck after hitting a barricade on Wednesday on the busy East Coast Road in Tamil Nadu.
The speeding car first smashed into a barricade, lost control and hit the rear of the stationary lorry. All the four passengers in the car died.
The deceased included Mohammed Ashik, who returned to Chennai from Malaysia on September 3 and his three friends. They were travelling towards the city on the Puducherry-Chennai highway. The truck was parked on roadside following a breakdown.
