7 Dead 12 Injured in a Road Accident in Assam

Guwahati: At least seven persons died and a dozen others were injured in a major road accident in Assam’s Tinsukia district on Tuesday night.

The accident took place at Bordirak Tiniali near Kakopathar area when a vehicle carrying passengers from a weekly market in Doomdooma, had a head on collision with a truck on the highway.

The truck driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

Seven passengers died on the spot. Twelve others were critically injured.
