Akasha Air flies from Mumbai to Ahmedabad

Bhubaneswar: Another private airline service ‘Akasha Air’ has been launched in the country on Sunday. Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Minister of State General V.K Singh inaugurated it. The first flight from Mumbai to Ahmedabad has started in the inaugural flight.

From last July 22, Akasha Air started booking tickets for four major cities of the country: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Mumbai and Kochi. Air service started from today.

The airline has informed that 28 Mumbai-Ahmedabad flights will be available in the initial phase. Air service between Bangalore and Kochi will start from next 13th. Tickets for all four cities are available from today on the company’s website www.akasaair.com.

Company CEO and founder Vinay Dubey said, “We are very happy with the flight.” Akasha Air will give customers a new kind of flying experience and we hope it will be loved. Co-founder and CCO Praveen Iyer said, “Akasha Air plans to connect all cities in India in the coming days.”

Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has a large stake and investment in Akasha Air. The company has been granted flying certificate and license last July.
