Another Kashmiri Pandit Shot Dead By Militants in J&K’s Shopian

Shopian: In yet another gut-wrenching incident reported from the Kashmir valley, militants have reportedly shot and killed a Kashmiri Pandit in the Choudry Gund area of South Kashmir’s Shopian region on Saturday, October 15, 2022.

Early reports suggest the deceased, identified as Pooran Krishan Bhat, son of Tarak Nath Bhat was fired upon by militants while standing on the lawn of his home.

According to the police, terrorists opened fire on him while he was travelling to an orchard in Chowdari Gund Shopian. “The area has been cordoned off and a search is underway,” police said.

This year, militants in Kashmir have slain many members of the minority group, including a teacher and a government worker.
