Bengaluru Floods: Yellow Alert Issued As Heavy Rains Cause Waterlogging

Bengaluru: Significant downpours pelted the IT hub Bengaluru on Wednesday evening, flooding numerous districts in the east, south, and central sections of the city amid the forecast for heavy rains in some areas of Karnataka over the next few days.

The following three days will see continued rain, therefore the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow advisory, which indicates heavy rain.

Flooded basement parking, open manholes, highly wet roads, and damaged automobiles were all visible from low-lying regions.

A wall fall caused by the severe rains next to the Majestic also caused damage to several cars that were parked along the road.

The city struggled with unheard-of flooding last month after just three days of rain. It took days for the water to drain from areas of the city that are home to both domestic and international IT start-ups.

Residents of several of the upscale housing colonies had to be rescued using tractors.

Several residents shared videos of the situation in the city on social media.
