New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday, charged that the Congress had rigged the presidential election to give Mallikarjun Kharge the victory so that the Gandhi family could remotely manage him.
The saffron party is now calling Kharge a rubber stamp after criticising him even before he was chosen to lead the grand-old party.
Amit Malviya, national head of BJP IT cell media, accused Congress of rigging the election and causing Kharge to win on Thursday, casting doubt on the grand-old party’s whole presidential election procedure.
The Congress President election was rigged with such precision that Mallikarjun Kharge got 88% of the votes, just short of the 90% mark, which could have given Tharoor the option to trigger a formal complaint alleging malpractice. He was denied that manoeuvre too.
What a farce!

Shashi Tharoor, congratulated Kharge after the election results were announced, but his camp accused the counting of the votes of being rigged.
The BJP leaders’ words make it clear that they will bring up the claim that the “Congress has repeated its UPA government’s formula of Manmohan Singh on Kharge” time and again.
