BJP Thanks Shah Rukh Khan for Exposing Congress’s Corrupt Governance in ‘Jawan’

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) recently seized an opportunity to criticize the Congress party, drawing a connection between Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film, “Jawan,” and what they perceive as a decade of corruption and policy stagnation during Congress rule from 2004 to 2014.

BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia took to social media to thank Shah Rukh Khan for what he believes is the film’s exposé of the Congress’s alleged corrupt and paralyzed governance. Bhatia shared a poster of the film and emphasized how Jawan serves as a reminder of what he termed the “tragic political past” under the UPA government.

Bhatia pointed out various alleged scandals that occurred during the UPA-II regime from 2009 to 2014, including the Commonwealth Games (CWG), the 2G spectrum, and the coal-gate scandal. He contrasted this with the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which, according to him, has maintained a “clean record” without any major scandals over the past nine and a half years.

Bhatia also quoted a line from the film, “Hum jawaan hain, apni jaan hazaar baar daon par laga sakte hain, lekin sirf desh ke liye; tumhare jaise desh bechne walo ke liye hargiz nahi,” and suggested that it is particularly apt for the Gandhi family, a reference to the leaders of the Congress party.

The BJP’s criticism of the Congress party comes at a time when the two parties are locked in a bitter political battle. The Congress has accused the BJP of misgovernance and corruption, while the BJP has accused the Congress of being a party of dynastic rule and appeasement.
