CBI to summon Deputy CM Manish Sisodia Tomorrow

New Delhi: Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI is going to summon Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in connection with the alleged Delhi liquor policy cam at 11 am tomorrow. Through a tweet, Manish Sisodia said that he will cooperate with the investigation.

The scheme came under the scanner after the Delhi LG Vinai Kumar Saxena recommended a CBI probe into the alleged irregularities in the implementation of Delhi’s Excise Policy 2021-22.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is among the 15 accused named in the FIR filed by the CBI. The FIR was lodged for alleged violation of rules and procedural lapses in the new liquor policy.

Two persons have already been arrested in connection with the case i.e., Aam Aadmi Party Communications Chief and Mr. Sisodia’s close aide Vijar Nair and Hyderabad-based business Abhishek Boinpally. A number of people including Sameer Mahendru, the owner of Indo Spirits, Amit Arora, the Director of Buddy Retail Private Limited in Gurugram, and India Ahead News Managing Director Mootha Gautam have been questioned, officials said.

AAP claims there is no scam and Mr. Sisodia, who handles the excise department, has been targeted for political vendetta.
