Ceremonial Pahandi of Deities Begins in Puri, Prez Murmu in Puri Dham to Witness Rath Yatra

Puri: The ceremonial Pahandi Bije of the deities has started for the Rath Yatra in Puri. Sri Balabhadra’s Pahandi has begun.

Meanwhile, President Droupadi Murmu has also reached Puri to witness rath Yatra of Lord Jagananth along with lakhs of devotees.

Tight security arrangements have been made in view of the President Murmu’s Rath Yatra visit to Puri. The areas to be visited by the President have been declared as ‘No Drone Zone’ and ‘No Flying Zone.’

While a VIP zone has been planned for the Odisha Governor, Chief Minister, Union Ministers and other dignitaries, a buffer zone has been planned for the President.

A dedicated team led by a senior SP rank officer is supervising the visit of President Murmu to the Rath Yatra.

On July 8 morning President Murmu will visit Puri beach and from there he will reach Udayagiri caves in Bhubaneswar to interact with the students of Bibhuti Kanungo College of Art and Crafts and Utkal University of Culture.

Then the President will inaugurate the Divine Retreat Centre of Brahma Kumaris at Haridamada village near Bhubaneswar and will launch the ‘Lifestyle for Sustainability’ campaign.

President Murmu will attend the 13th graduation ceremony of the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) in Bhubaneswar on July 9.
